Thanos is basically the biggest threat in the Marvel universe. He is extremely intelligent, technologically advanced and is also one of the biggest physical threats in Marvel. That is combined with his constant amibition to please Death, which he attempts to do by basically whiping away large chunks of the universe's population. He usually succeeds in his conquests, but is a self-sabotager and always leaves some way for the heroes to win.

Basically, if Marvel does it right, Thanos will be the biggest badass to ever hit the screen. He basically kicks the snot out of the entire Marvel super hero roster whenever he wishes.

as long as Whedon is back for The Avengers 2, i'm sure it will be most epic. oh and do we really need the spoiler tags in the thread? the title is enough IMO, it kept me away from here until i had seen the movie
