This type of action screws up the families of the victim. In this case they will always be guessing what went wrong. They can not trust the word of this man who caused their love one to die and then tried to cover it up.
So even if he fesses up in court, they will always assume there is more to the story.
Speaking from personal experience. My niece died in a daycare. The guy who was looking after her killed himself before the investigation really got started. So, after messing my family up he went and destroyed his own family. Rather than the guy manning up and help us out we are stuck wondering what really happened.
I hope that the video evidence is recovered so that family can move on and deal with this tragedy.
