You are right and thinking back, I have no idea why I posted that, other than it just came out wrong.

What I am referring to is even engaging in the occasional risky behaviors online, I almost never need to rely on my real time scanner for anything. I have MBAM scans that run daily. I scan with SAS weekly or if I suspect any chance of being compromised. Those 2 things catch enough that I hardly ever have MSSE kick in for anything.

That said, I know regular users don't do this, and always (except apparently for on CP!) strongly recommend to anyone I give any type of support to, that they have a multi-layered AV solution. Including, interesting enough, continual harping on one of the Managers at work who recently switched to a Mac, whenever he mentions that he doesn't run AV software.

I will now hang my head in shame.
