I went with my cousin and Dad to a cabin near the South Castle River. We brought horses and rode a wagon into camp with all our gear. I went flyfishing in the river, and caught some nice cutthroat trout, the best being a 13.5" female, and a 14" fat male. We caught mostly small cutthroats and a couple of bull trout. A really nice river, but the forest is very thick around, and it would be easy to be suprised by a Grizzly. One fisherman was mauled by a bear near this camp a few years ago.
Got a little lost looking for the trail to Lys Lake, but we now know where to find it. Lots of signs of wildlife around, and saw many mule deer and white-tail deer in camp. I hope I can return to this area next summer.
