My experience w/ Kaspersky is not that good. Whenever it automatically updated, it really slowed down my computer. I have Microsoft Security Essentials installed now (free from Microsoft website) and not only it doesn't slow the computer down, its level of protection is better than kaspersky.
With that said, Kaspersky is definitely better than McAfee and Norton as far as system load is concerned
