I'd add Berlin to the list. It's a very cool city and shouldn't be missed if you're already in Germany.
I wouldn't really worry too much about racism. There are lots of different races in Germany and Austria (a lot of Turks especially). Of course, that's not to say there isn't racism, but it's not like they've never seen a non-blonde haired person before.
