Under actual law the only crime could be considered Hate Speech but under the HRC if you get your feelings hurt some how your rights are violated. Getting rid of the HRC and leaving it to the courts to apply the laws would eliminate these frivolous types of claims.

Agree completely, the HRC is a very bizarre creation.
I think there'd be a credible claim under the Charter as well though, this is a pretty clear case of a state actor advancing a particular religion and while the Charter doesn't go as far in prohibiting that as the US Constitution does I think you'd at least get yourself in the door.
