Alberta loves to spend money. Too many years of budget surpluses and being able to spend whatever they wanted to has created that.

Like others have said, Alberta is all words and no actions.
I was actually speaking mainly about the WRP. Voters were initially attracted to their fiscally conservative policies, but they lost the election last week when Hunsberger and Leech came under scrutiny. As much as Albertans may be unhappy with the PCs and think have shifted too far to the left, this result was a rejection of social conservatism more than anything else.
