having been born and raised in warsaw, here are some things i would suggest.

warsaw rising museum is a must.
lazienki gardens, especially on sundays when there are free chopin concerts by the chopin statue. either way, a beautiful park to spend a day in.
stare miasto (old town)
walking up and down the royal route - some great pubs/bars/restaurants
national museum
royal castle - nice background into the destruction of warsaw in world war 2 and how the city was rebuilt.
palace of culture and science - one of the great social realist buildings in the world
wilanow palace and the polish poster museum
if you're into architecture, plac konstytucji and plac zbawiciela has great social realist architecture.
warsaw ghetto, especially if the museum of polish jews is open by that point.
try to catch a legia warsaw soccer match if possible, some of the best fans in europe (safe as well, regardless of what the british media tell you)
the best kebab in the world (personal opinion but also that of many others i've talked to) on the corner of marszalkowska and swietokrzyska.

hope that helps. warsaw is a great city. underrated and takes a while to get to know but you won't be sorry you went.
