This is a good sign (pun intended). I'd like to see the building remain on or near the existing site, but the fact that it won't be demolished is a big step forward.
It would be really cool if the city could find a use for it as part of the park and ride lot. Not just keeping the building, but using it as a proper, functioning business of some kind. A cafe and convenience store would be a great idea, although aside from peak commuting times, it might be a challenge to get the traffic there to keep it open. But the surrounding community can also visit it in the evenings as opposed to driving to Starbucks at the nearest big box place.
Heck, I live on the North side of Tuscany (yes, suburban parasite), and it would probably be as close (once the station/bridge is done) as walking to the shops in Tuscany. Plenty of people sip on their lattes in the Starbucks on any given night, so why not a nice little cafe there?
