[FiftyBelow]

Sadly this guy appears to have a strong following in my riding. I was fairly frustrated when he came to our door and he initially tried to convince me to vote for him based on the fact that I'm filipino. He said something along the lines of: "Are you Filipino? Ahhh you are? You know, a lot of the Filipinos are voting for me. I've been there 19 times bla bla bla..." He was saying this as if it was going to sway me to vote for him just because people who share the same culture as me are voting for him.

Firstly, that turns me off from the beginning. I want to know about your plans for the riding and the actual details of policy. Don't treat me like some uninformed citizen who's simply going to base my vote off racial factors. Only after I insisted on actual policy details did he actually attempt engage in that discussion.

I was a little neutral in regards to the Wildrose at first, but I have to admit, candidates like this turn me off. There's a real concern with types of people we're going to have running the government should they win. Don't get me started about their political experience. Only a handful of the party actually have any. Who the heck is going to fill the cabinet? Do we really want inexperience leading the province through such a significant period of growth and prosperity?
