Guys like Kesler and Burrows are always looking for an edge, a short cut, some leverage. In this pre-occupation in making sure they get their share, their focus isn't on winning. It's not about fighting through checks to get a scoring opportunity, it's about falling down to get the call.
That attitude hurts a team. Kings players are getting to loose pucks because of the will to fight through the obstacles.
The other glaring aspect is just how terrible their defense and forward support have looked. LA is forcing the issue on Vancouver's d, and they have no options. They look like Calgary.
