Everyone had a chance to negotiate.
Balsille had the chance to change his terms, he chose not. Had he altered his bid to include provisions for keeping the team in Phoenix for a certain period of time based on attendance etc. he's likely the owner today. The fact is that he came in with an all or nothing approach and refused to budge from it. How do you negotiate with that?
