Ya, the Jays have done an excellent job at the branding of the club - and like someone above said, it is truly a perfect storm. The club is looking like it is trending in the right direction in terms of on-field ability, the new/old look - and I think best of all, the fact that there really isn't a lot to follow from April to October in Canada.
Vancouver and Ottawa being the only playoff teams left in the NHL, should help sway the attention of the everyday sports fan towards the ball club. I think a lot of the following really does stem from the "vibe" that is following this club - the great spring training record, the new uniforms, Canada's only baseball club. I know even just in my office, there are three non-baseball fans that had tuned into yesterday's game on XM radio. It's good to see, really is - makes me excited, because now I can talk baseball and people actually care to hear what's going on with the club.
