I put it all back together and threw in a towel and it came up wet(enough to twist and rinse water out). But the water build up in the basin no longer is there after each wash.
What can i do to get rid of this soaked clothes? Is there something else I should check?

I have no technical knowledge, but that sounds like a burnt out pump. Repair man perhaps?
