I doubt it was any kind of serious discussion about moving Bautista down a sport. Lawrie is a future 3-4 hitter, but not going to mess with Bautista who is great where he is. I think Lawrie might bat 5th by mid season or stay 6th. Will be good for the first full year and see what happens for next year. Definitely shouldn't be a #2, I don't think that utilize his full ability to knock in runs.
I'm hopeing Rasmus batting 9th can do kind of the same things Gardner batting 9th for the yanks does. Once he gets on, steals some bases and get into position for the top of the order.
