I usually do the Highwood pass 1st or 2nd week of June, before it opens up to cars. Park the car at the gate, ride to the summit, usually turn around, and rip back down. If I'm feeling good (haha), I'll go down the other side for 10-20 km, climb back up and over. Last year there was lots of snow along the sides, but the road was clear. One of my favorite rides by far, I highly recommend it (Bring bear spray just in case)
