I mentioned schools and hospitals because healthcare and education are two of the biggest responsibilities of the provincial government. Personally, I'd rather see 100% any surpluses automatically invested in the Heritage Fund. Giving cheques to individuals to blow on consumer goods like iPads and HDTVs (or beer and popcorn, CC
) is just bad government policy.
