IN the Herald today there is one of those " in the paper 100 years ago today" type things -- an editorial about a President of an insurance company who had ripped off the company and he was getting his just desserts by, umm, dying.

A year ago, a Vancouver newspaper was sued for libel for merely intimating that something was wrong with the McCall administration. Now, nothing is too vile to attribute to the miserable old man dying amid the riches he is openly charged with having acquired by pelf.

It's got nothing to do with Enron, but it's kind of funny to see how they treated a white-collar criminal back in the day.
