Pretty sad result for Brandon, as I thought they were unlucky not to have the lead after one. But after that performance, I hope the Hitmen put them away fast. Preferably before one of their meatheads costs us another injury or two.

Hyperbole is the name of the game when it comes to Resolute discussing the Brandon Wheat Kings
Virtanen didn't receive "several dirty hits" and the "numerous hits to the head" you mention were non existent unless you're talking about the fights. Selfish penalties? Absolutely, they took some stupid ones. Was it a meltdown? Not really. It was playoff hockey. As a fan of the Flames, you've seen them do the exact same things late in playoff games after getting spanked. They lost their cool in certain spots and sent a message for game 3, I'll take that over a team that goes meekly.
Virtanen got himself involved in scrums after the whistle all night because that's the type of player he is. He's not backing down and I like that about him. To say that he was a target of dirty hits is silly and the fact that these accusations haven't been made anywhere else seems to support that these claims are unfounded.
Brandon now has a 2-1 series lead going into game 4 and the series is still wide open but Calgary desperately needs to find a spark. By all accounts, game 3 was a repeat of game 1 in terms of effort for the Hitmen and they just aren't a good enough team to sleepwalk through a series and expect to win. I would imagine they give Sylvester one more game to rest up and then bring him back for game 5 if they lose. They better hope his return flips the script on this series because they haven't shown much so far. I didn't think Brandon had much of a chance coming into this series but the Hitmen seem to be rolling over and daring them to take the series.
Game 4 will no doubt be interesting.
