Or 2% adds up. The MBNA worldpoints give 2 points per dollar, and they'll send you a cheque for $50 every time you get to 5000 points, so it's 2% cashback. New cardholders pay an $89 fee, former SPG cardholders are grandfathered at no fee.
You only need to spend $4450 per year to make back the fee compared to a 1% cashback card.
Requires a 70k income (or 120k household) shouldn't be a problem for the rich a-holes of CP.
