In fact, I see just about as many "keep Jumbo wild" bumper stickers on Alberta cars in the Columbia Valley as I see them on cars with BC plates.

Believe me, I know it's no one's fault but the British Columbia government and the private contractors who will build and develop Jumbo. I understand that aspect.
My point is that Albertans are seemingly blindly supporting Jumbo because it's going to be a nice resort away from the prairies and it'll be a nice alternative to Panorama or Banff. I'm simply saying Albertans should look at the alternative views/opinions of Jumbo and its impacts on BC before supporting it.

I came into the thread expecting a bunch of British Colombians supporting a ski resort that will destroy a huge amount of wilderness and wildlife as well as traditional Native hunting land. I was right.

As far as I saw, I'm the only one haha.

They will sell off their forests and mountains at any chance just to create a couple measly jobs. Every time I drive through BC it's just a bunch of clear cuts and strip mines as British Colombians continue to rape their province.

Right. I agree. You make a good point. Is this is a criticism of something I'm saying?

I always can't wait to get out of there and cross the border back into Alberta and see the wind turbines of our vast fields of green energy spread amongst the native fescues.

Cool. Then have fun in your sliver of the Rockies. If you can't stand BC, then you have the choice to stay away.
I'm very happy and full of praise for Alberta's green initiatives. It's a beautiful province, not as beautiful as BC, but it's still beautiful

I thought I was clear, but I'll say it again. About the Jumbo issue, Albertans are usually pretty single-minded. They see potential for a new ski resort and say, "YAY! FUN!" without looking at the alternative side of the argument.
Other than that, I agree with you. If I still lived close to Alberta, I'd go there for gas, groceries, and booze as well. It's ridiculously expensive living in BC. A jug of milk in the Lower Mainland is now nearly $5! I don't blame you for getting what you can in Alberta before coming to BC.

Haha I know. Cranbrook's not the nicest place in the Kootenays, but I loved living in the middle of the Rocky Mountains nonetheless.
