Flames Prospect Report: Johnny Gaudreau

“I really don’t like hearing that I’m too small and so I tend to let it go in one ear and out the other,” said Gaudreau.

“I use these comments as motivation to prove to people that they are wrong.”

Despite having such a strong season Gaudreau has remained humble over the accolades he has received.

“It’s been a great experience, I’ve been playing with great players,” said Gaudreau.

“The position I’ve been in with great coaching and players have helped me to be successful.”

“It was definitely the Coach (Jerry York) that helped me make my choice, I grew up watching him and Boston College,” said Gaudreau.

“I’ve just always wanted to go there and the whole coaching staff helped me make my decision.”

“It was a really great experience being at camp, I think it helped a lot in getting me ready for college,” said Gaudreau.

“I was really excited to be there and to play.”

“I’m very excited for the tournament, we’re a very close team and we’ve been playing very well together,” said Gaudreau.

“There’s always pressure in being number one but we’re just going to take it one game at a time.
