I was asking a guy who has worked on roads for a long time and he didn't believe this would ever be build. The road to Panorama is apparently a challenge to keep safe in the winter and adding an additional 30K to it would be a major task when it comes to construction, maintenance and liability issues.
I've never driven that road in winter but he seemed to know what he was talking about; he gets contracted to look at this stuff all over western Canada.
