Mark Sanchez has weak passing stats, shows a terrible lack of talent but won bigger playoff games then Tim Tebow. Nobody blindly supports Sanchez as Tebow fans to Tebow.
The baseball comparison is easily valid. A starting pitcher can have a better W-L record with the amount of offensive support he gets. No different then Tebow getting greater support from his defense.
