He is actively changing a stereotype and resisting a phenomenon psychologists call “subtyping” – in his case, the perception that an unwanted, undrafted, Harvard-educated young man of Asian parentage can’t play ball with the rest of the globe.

“I’m not really discouraged by that prospect,” Greene said. “It’s unfortunate, I think, because there are [Canadian university] quarterbacks who have the talent to play in the CFL. Hopefully, the three of us can help change that mindset this weekend.”
