Markus Granlund gets an assist in his last game of the regular season. Finnish fans, who around the draft weren't too enthused about him, are now very high on him and he has shown an ability to produce away from his brother. He has 29 points in his last 33 games (33 points in 46 games overall, which just goes to show his improvement over the course of the season).
Supposedly, he is the front runner for rookie of the year in the SM-liiga. He really reminds of John Gaudreau in terms of his development. Both started off their respecitve seasons somehwat slow, but once they were able to adjust to the higher level of play, their skill level and hockey sense took over and they're both now among the best players on their respective teams.
He is pretty small at 5-10/163, but he has plenty of time to get bigger.
