I've avoided all spoilers thus far, but what to know what the "right way" is before I finish my ME2 re-play. Feeling free to spoil ME1 & 2 as much as you want, can you tell me what the "right way" to end those games is without spoiling ME3?

In ME3, you're given the opportunity to resolve the Quarian/Geth conflict and have one or both sides join your fight against the Reapers. There are several possible outcomes, but to achieve the best one, you had to have made certain choices in ME2. Specifically, you need five or more points from the following:

- In Legion's loyalty mission in ME2, you destroyed the Heretics (2 points)
- You resolved Tali's loyalty mission in ME2 in such a way that she is not exiled from the fleet (2 points)
- You resolved the Legion/Tali conflict in ME2 using the Paragon or Renegade options (1 point)
- Complete ME3 mission to save the Quarian admiral on Rannoch (1 point)
- Complete ME3 mission to destroy the Geth fighter squadron (1 point)

Note that if you rewrote the Heretics in ME2, you can get an even better result (same story cutscene but more War Assets) in ME3 if you are able to get five points elsewhere.
