Furthermore, Burns committed to the puck on the play (as opposed to the body) which is exactly what Sven wanted... if Burns is a second late in getting his skate turned, that a quality scoring chance for the Flames... low risk, high reward in my book.

It wasn't just that play. I noticed a few times when he tried to beat d-men with stickhandling and lost the puck. Which is understandable - he's never played against NHL quality defencemen before.
C'mon people. Even Sidney Crosby took a season to get up to speed on the NHL game.
