Sad thing is most consumer electronics are designed to not be user serviceable these days. A lot of those plastic casings that go on some of the cheaper cameras are snap together so the cases just break when you take them apart and don't clip back together as well.

Even if you can find someone to repair it, I doubt it will cost less in time and money than just buying a new one. Unless of course you're talking about one of those high high end DSLRs, those might be worth fixing.
