Booo... that was Ray Ferraro trying to sound smart. He tried to put the puck through the skates of Brent Burns... Tanguay and Iginla try moves like that multiple times per game, and NHLers make that same move work plenty of times... Sven tried, Burns stopped... I think its silly to suggest that was some rookie mistake, its not like he thwarted an odd-man rush or something, he was trying to create an odd-man situation.
Furthermore, Burns committed to the puck on the play (as opposed to the body) which is exactly what Sven wanted... if Burns is a second late in getting his skate turned, that a quality scoring chance for the Flames... low risk, high reward in my book.
