His growth game after game has been exceptional. His first game, he was clearly nervous. Easily pushed off the puck, played a very simple game, didn't do anything wrong or spectacular, but he was starting to build some confidence.
Second game, he's pretty quiet, but he's definitely learning what changes he has to make in order to try and get by NHL defenders. On his goal he does exactly what he needs to do, heads to the net, gets a tip, stays there, finds the puck and uses his skill to put it away.
Last night I was noticing him play a lot more assertively, he was actively trying to beat defenders, not just making safe plays, and once again just drives the net on his goal. That's hockey 101, your team has the puck and you don't, get your ass to the front of the net and something good is going to happen.
