The reason it's cheap is that Sony does a mark down for last years models. I bought a HX800 last year at their year end closing price and it's a great TV. Great contrast and great colour and motion flow. Maybe try to bargain for free glasses and or a 3D blu ray player since it's a discontinued model . A similar model is also on sale at Best Buy for the same price.

Yeah, but I personally like the 6 series over it for a very similar price.
Having said that, the high end one is beautiful
