I can't help but laugh at the people determined to slot Sven in the top 6. The only reason the Flames have had success the last 5 or 6 games has been the great play from the top 6 forwards. Why would you break that apart in the middle of a winning streak in the most important stretch of the season?
As for Baertschi's development, the timing of the call-up couldn't get any better. Rather than playing games at the start of the season and getting sent back down (like Scheifele for example), he gets called up near the end of the season, when he's playing his best hockey and gets a taste of the NHL playoff race. Great experience for the kid.
