I've seen claims where someone swerved to avoid a deer and rolled in the ditch. I know macker will never believe this....but the insurer counted it as a comp claim.
Claims are definitely somewhat negotiable. Claims get paid that are borderline and claims are denied where you might think that there should be coverage. Its not as black and white as what its being made out to be here for sure. Because the situations are all unique and there are a lot of factors there is room for discussion and movement to some extent.
Anyway, I left that side of the business years ago and have never regretted it for a second.
