Swerving to avoid anything is a bad idea typically, especially if you swerve into the path of an oncoming poplar...

Chances are the OP is insured with one of the above companies and it will be viewed and settled as a collision as technically this is what happened.

I am just curious as to why you are rock solid sure that all of these insurance providers will consider this a collision. Please provide your sources as you have been screaming for others to do in this thread.
