Yeah, sure I've seen the odds at finding a good NHLer in the lower rounds or any round but if you don't have a pick your odds are zero. We need a home run at some stage or we are just settling for more mediocrity like Byron seems to be. If Byron doesn't win a spot next year, he's eligible for waivers so we could lose him for nothing and I don't see Byron winning a spot.
Gaudreau could be an example of swinging for the fences, he's still a gamble but a 4th rounder who can be a star.
