If you refuse a breathalyzer test then it is the same as failing, however it all comes down now to be unable to prove that he was impaired in court.

I would think that opens up room for a negotiated lesser sentence.

Personally this person should be treated like a multiple murderer, and he should have to serve consecutive sentences one for each death.

I'm so sick of reading about drinking and driving incidences and then these people getting light sentences.

Remember Daniel Tschetter the a##hole who wiped out a family of five while driving a cement truck and decided it was more important to cover up his actions by disposing of the liquor bottle before checking on the family and then refused to blow in 2007, the guy who had 20 previous violations? The guy that's been getting unescorted leave from prison since 2011?

I've said that I disagree with the .05 driving laws that the Provincial government is enacting, I've said that we need to look more at the punitive effects of people that make the decision of driving drunk and especially those who injure or kill people.

The drunk driving thing just makes me incredibly angry.

I think that the minute that you injure someone in an accident then you should have absolutely no right to refuse a breathalyzer test or a blood test. I would have rather had the government put in the effort to push that through to the supreme court.

F$$king Drunk Drivers.
