Default Wrath of Grapes: The Don Cherry Story Part II

Anyone else watching this? What do you all think?

I enjoyed the first go around, so I was interested in seeing part II. It takes place just as he gets into coaching the Rockies (I tried to keep my eye out for McDonald and Ramage, didn't see 'em) and flashes back to his junior days. It moves into his Coach's Corner segments about half-way through the first part.

Calgary sure gets a lot of love, and I guess that makes sense since the glory years were taking place just as Don started into broadcasting.

There's one big issue I had, and it came up near the end. Whoever the screenwriter is (I know his son Tim wrote the original script/story) really should have done some research and constructed a proper timeline. They ask Don to correct his pronunciation of Manny Legace...about 7 years before he was even drafted. And right near the end he is talking about how good the Flames are (yay!) in the background, and he mentions players like Fleury, Roberts, Otto, Macoun....then all of a sudden he starts talking about "the guys they got coming up...That Iginla, I tell ya". And this is all happening, from what I can tell, in about 1986. It's before Ron McLean was on the program. Really amateurish.

Other than that it's been pretty good for what it is. Cool that they brought back Booth Savage to play Harry Sinden, same for Judah Katz playing Alan Eagleson. Thoughts?
