You do make a good point in your last paragraph. Luck has been IT for so long that it has become a bit of a negative.
However, I don't think that has inflated Griffin's worth at all. He's earned it.
As for his IQ...football and otherwise...he was offered by Stanford. He chose Baylor which isn't exactly a university with low academic standards. He graduated early. This kid will never be a problem off the field. Ever.

I have heard it on a lot of sports talk radio but I think all of the experts say Luck because that makes so much sense and picking otherwise would be foolish.
Again that may be part of the whole talking about Luck going number 1 is boring now so throwing out RG3 is controversial and gets listeners.
Not sure that off field smarts equals Football IQ all the time.
