JETS WIN HUGE GAME VS FLYERS!
The Jets were lead by backup tender Jani Hurme today. Making his first start since being acquired from the Swampmen, Hurme stopped 22 shots to pick up his 7th win of the season and first as a Jet. "Our defence keep the shots to the outside and allowed me to see everything" said Hurme.
The Jets got offence from unlikely sources today. 4th line winger Ivan Novoseltsev scored twice including the game winner just 2:38 into the game, a goal that came just 34 seconds after Pierre Turgeon scored his first as a Jet. The other Jet goal was scored by Wes Walz, who now has 18 goals on the year.
The win moves the Jets into a tie for 5th place in the conference, 2 points up on 9th place Detroit. The Jets get tomorrow off before playing the first of a back to back vs the Sabres starting Wednesday night.
