Depends who you ask. There was an article in Macleans a while back that said that there is no evidence that people in North America are deficient in Vitamin D. Apparently the idea that we should get at least 1,000UI, or perhaps more, with some people saying you should get up to 5,000UI per day.....is bunk.

Not sure I agree. Vitamin D is extremely important to the human body, and considering most of us spend most of the day inside, its not crazy at all to think that we might be deficient.
