Senators had planned to keep Belfour around as insurance for Turco.. but the deal was to good to pass up. Getting a solid young Goalie is a plus for us. Its still un upgrade over Bierk. Getting Foster in the deal was also key. We are short on future Dmen in the AHL. Foster joins an already deep and young D core with Ossi, Hamhuis, Boyton and Klesla..
The deal happend in a very quick time period and does in fact help both teams..
