This brings about a point of contention that I have with all of the CBS reality shows. It seems that it is better to be not the best but rather not the worst in order to win any of there reality TV shows.
Survivor: Early on if you are the best you are a target because people percieve you as being too strong for them to compete with. Therefore they often vote out the strong players. Later on if you are likeable people vote you off for being to hard to win in the final two. You also get voted off if you are weak which is okay but really it has often come down to someone who didn't so enough to p*ss people off by winning events or playing the game well and just did enough to stick around each week. i.e. Tina, Vesepia and Jenna
Big Brother: Same as survivor in that if you are strong you are voted off. The only difference here is that the weak seem to be able to survie way to long. i.e. this season with Diane, Karen etc.
Amazing Race: If you are good you really get very little in an advantage and this season actaully get targeted for it, i.e. Colin and Christie. There is noway they should not win this race. They won about five or six legs in a row and still had no advavntage based on the set up of the show.
Yes I watch way too much reality TV, I know this already. But the shows on Cbs show that you are punished for being the best which seems to go against everything the shows should be about.
