THe show is so controlled that it is not a true race anyway. What are the chances of all the groups always ending up so bunched up especailly in the end. In true race a team would probably win by a couple days or so.
That's exactly it. This was one reality show I was excited abot when I watched it last time, but watching the final episode you see how controlled it really is. In real life it probably would not come down to a foot race in the end. [/b][/quote]
Well we have to remember that this is first and foremost a TV show more than it is an actual race. It would not be good TV to allow Colin and Christie to be four or five days ahead of the next team/s, which in an honest race they should be, based on them completing the taks faster and catching good flights. It is much better TV to have every team together or damn close to it every show so tht every team has a chance to win or lose each show.

In reality teams should not have to wait five or six hours for attractions to open or flights to arrive. But this does bring up a point that always drives e nuts is when teams are a little bit slow and they begin to freak out. You know that there will be a time in each episode where basically every team is reunited and given a fair shake at every leg of the race.
