On a side note I notice that the winner gets an entry to Europa League. I guess I'm just curious, in a ranking of importance where does the Carling Cup rank to you guys? What about Europa? I know there are a few Liverpool fans on here. Based on my understanding it would be something like CL/EPL at the top, followed by the FA Cup? then Europa and Carling Cup?
No one actually cares about stuff like the FIFA club world cup do they? Or what about the one off games like the Community Shield? Are they just glorified exhibition games? What about the EUFA Super Cup?

For the big clubs yep that would be the order, importance between CL/PL would depend on if they had won one in the past (i.e Chelsea would value the CL a lot more right now)
club world cup is big for south american teams, not so much for Europe
