This. x100. Seriously. I had mine done in August 2002. I had the Lasik surgery and it literally changed my life. It was a grad gift from my parents for finishing University. I was pretty young to get it done, but my prescription hadnt changed much and they were comfortable doing it.
It is easily one of the top 5 things I've ever done.
I used to get halos, but they've gone away. I can still read the microwave from 20' away and have no problem reading anything or far off distances. The only drawback for me is the dryness. I have allergies, but the surgery seemed to make it a bit worse.
I can see myself going back in 5-10 years to get them done again, but right now, all is good.
