We used to go on Bike Rides and Hikes that long regularly. When I was 7 I was going on 8 hour hikes through the mountains. If I would have had a seisure and died would that have been murder? So based on what was initially reported I stand by my statement.

If on the otherhand the mom and grandmother watched her suffer and yelled at her to run harder and denied her water when she asked for it. Then I think you have a murder charge. Now as more info comes out it sounds like murder may be a reasonable charge

But just because someone died of physical activity doesn't make it Murder.
First, that's quite clearly not what happened and the reporting on the incident makes it quite clear. She was forced to run as a punishment for lying, not to burn off calories. Second, they would have known to think something is wrong because they are adults. Forcing a child to run for 3 hours is something that any reasonable person knows is dangerous.

These comparisons to riding bikes and running around when you were a kid are asinine. This wasn't a child playing tag for 3 hours. This was a child forced to run as punishment. The fact that there's even a consideration of grey area here is absolutely stunning.
