Well damn, I should probably consider that from now on. I barely use the sniper rifle, since the Assault Rifle is so powerful. Now that I recently got the Spectre weapons opening up, most Geth die in only a few bullets from my assault rifle (I'm a Soldier).
With my awesome firepower plus Liara and Tali taking care of Biotics/Tech stuff, I'm a killing machine on foot. My one experience with a colossus on foot I believe was on the mission to get Liara, and I got wasted, but that was early on. I really should give it another shot on foot next Mako run I do.
