I don't really see what the big problem is. We live in a free society and as such everyone is entitled to like/dislike whatever they want. Who cares if someone likes Nickleback or Britney Spears? Doesn't mean I have to listen to it. If a band/song makes someone happy is that so wrong?
Another thing is that it often takes time to locate more obscure artists for the average person. Maybe the parents in the crowd can confirm this. Do you guys have the time to sit down and research "good" versus "bad" music? Is it just easier to click on the radio? Does that make you a bad person? When you look at things that way it is kind of ridiculous.
